Policy Statement: 

At Bonham Academy, we value our volunteers. Volunteers perform routine circulation desk tasks, assist students with locating materials using the online catalog, shelve books and help with light cleaning. 

 

Policy Specifics: 

Volunteers must be cleared by the Family Specialist who will assist with the criminal background check process and a volunteer orientation. During the librarian's lesson, volunteers will check-in books that students bring in and place items on the shelves.  Volunteers will assist students to check out books and straighten shelves.  Other tasks such as changing out the bulletin board display may be offered.
